Our mission is to create meaningful experiences that allow us to learn and grow. We spend the vast majority of our time creating a college going culture on campus, instilling organization and study skills in ourselves and classmates, and serving our community.

The purpose of Business Professionals of America is to prepare students for the business workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic, and technological skills. Members demonstrate occupational and leadership skills in district, state, and national competitions.

We want to create and foster visionary relationships within the HHS and Pflugerville community through the creation of ceramic art.

FCCLA is the only career and technical in-school student organization with the family as the central focus. Participation in state and national programs and chapter activities help members become strong leaders in family, careers and communities.

FFA is an intracurricular student organization for those interested in agriculture and leadership. It is one of the three components of agricultural education.

Girl Advocates empowers girls through mentoring, volunteering, and philanthropy. Both boys and girls are welcome to be Girl Advocates!

HOSA is a student-led organization that provides a forum for the discussion of healthcare related careers and issues, provides a social environment in which like-minded students can meet/share common goals and aspirations, gives members the opportunity to give back to the community in the form of volunteer service activities and also has the opportunity for students to compete in UIL medical/healthcare related events from the local to international level.

The goal of this class is to give every student a solid grounding in the style, performance, theory, and history of Jazz in the 20th century.

The Locker provides basic needs for all students.

National Honor Society is a national organization which honors exceptional students and organizes them to give back to their school and community.

Students enrolled in this course mentor younger students on elementary campuses. There is a nine week training course, followed by actual mentoring at the elementary school campuses. Interested students enroll in this course through their counselors at the start of the school year.

A meeting of both LGBTQ+ and straight students to discuss current and personal events and to raise awareness for LGBTQ+ issues at HHS, Pflugerville, Texas, and the world.

Community Service
|
Science Olympiad is an international organization devoted to improving the quality of science education, increasing student interest in science and providing recognition for outstanding achievement in science education by both students and teachers.
Science Olympiad tournaments are rigorous academic interscholastic competitions that consist of a series of team events, which students prepare for during the year. These challenging and motivational events are well balanced between the various science disciplines of biology, earth science, chemistry, physics and technology. There is also a balance between events requiring knowledge of science concepts, process skills and science applications. |

To create an environment that fosters the values of responsible free speech, respectful communication, teamwork, and commitment to excellence. To support the learning community at Hendrickson High School and create life-long learners by engaging students in critical examination and rigorous research of current political and social topics. To promote ethical and honorable behavior at our school, within the Speech & Debate community, throughout our state and around our nation. |
The Texas Association of Future Educators or TAFE (pronounced "taffy") student organization created to allow students an opportunity to explore the teaching profession. Members participate in community service, teacher appreciation, and competitive events at Region, State, and National levels.

To introduce students to various engineering fields. We meet monthly having speakers discuss their specific engineering disciplines with students in an informal setting where students are encouraged to ask questions. Refreshments will be served.
The state TAME organization holds two competitions, one local in Jan/Feb, where students may in turn qualify to compete at the state level, in April. Students must register with the state organization in order to be eligible to compete at the local and state competitions. Please email me at [email protected] with any questions. |
The University Interscholastic League offers a wide variety of academic contests for high school students, encompassing many elements of required high school coursework. These contests build upon the academic skills developed in the classroom and offer students an opportunity to stretch their talents beyond those requirements.
Academic Contests include: Accounting, Calculator, Computer Applications, Computer Science, Current Issues & Events, Literary Criticism, Math, Number Sense, Ready Writing, Science, Social Studies, and Spelling & Vocab Journalism Contests include: Copy Editing, Editorial Writing, Feature Writing, Headline Writing, and News Writing Speech Contests include: Congressional Debate, CX (Policy) Debate, LD Debate, Persuasive Extemp, Informative Extemp, Prose, and Poetry Theater Contests include: One Act Play and Theatrical Design |
